I purchased a different brand that had problems,they replaced it with another brand and that had problems . I took that back and purchased this Amana gas stove from another store .It was easy to convert to lp gas and works and holds up very well .

I've had this range for about 6 months now, and considering my wife and I both work out of town and don't get home until late most days we do not use the range daily - probably 2-4 times a week.
Immediately upon using the stove top for the first time we found that the temperature knobs have little to no effect on temperature or flame size (propane, was converted to propane by the installing company) so you're basically stuck with using it on a high burning setting.
A day or so later we used the oven. Now maybe this is just my experience since my previous range did not have a full glass door, but the oven door on this range gets so hot you absolutely cannot touch it. My wife was using it and just so happened to bump her knee against the glass and ended up getting blistered from it. Not only is this wildly inefficient but very dangerous. Because of this my kitchen heats up quickly because of the oven, and living in central Texas this makes it almost impossible to use during the hot summer months.
Also the back of the oven is exposed to where you can visibly see the burner so if you have pets it's entirely possible for them to get inside the oven.
Finally we used it again recently to cook a frozen pizza. Nothing special. The seal for the oven door melted off of the oven. Oven was heated to 400 degrees.
And I haven't even reached the time period of parts failure that others are reporting.
Not only would I rate this a 0/5 but I feel like someone should pay me to get this hazard out of my home. I wouldn't recommend this thing for much more than target practice.

I bought this stove 18 months ago and the oven stopped working after 15 months! It is a beautiful stove, but performance is poor. Unfortunately it only has a 1 year limited manufacturers warranty. We are very disappointed!

I have used this gas oven range for over one month. So far, I am happy with this product.
It has multiple burner options. The largest burner lets me cook faster than before. The oven temperature is so uniform and precise. My wife is happy with her bread baking.
The only drawback is the bottom drawer design. When pulling out, it will be out of its tracks. The close position seems never be closed.

As many other reviews, I loved my oven until the ignition started giving us problems then it stopped working all together. It's basically unfixable. You'll spend hundreds of dollars to never have it work right again.

We purchased this stove winter of 2014, immediately fell in love with it. It was super easy to use, I have no issues with the stove top as others complained about. Very easy to clean. The problem started in the Spring when it became slow to ignite in the oven. (Oven igniter only not the broiler or the stove top! Just the oven.) Then by the fall it stopped igniting all together. The repair man came out and replace the igniter and immediately had the slow ignition problem again. They came out checked it, ran a diagnostic everything was "fine" Now here I am in Jan 2016 and its stopped igniting again! I have an appointment with another repair company but I am extremely unhappy to still have a unreliable cooking source. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUY THIS! If I could give a rating of no stars, then I would.

Computer died after 1 year 3 months

This range looks beautiful in our kitchen. Unfortunately, the computer that controls the electronic ignitor has died after only 1 year and 3 months. It will costs us $375 to repair it, and the technician recommended we don't bother based on the quality of the computer for this model. We are very sad, since prior to the computer dying we liked everything about the range.

I bought my Amana gas stove for my new home and I love it. Instant heat, provides faster cooking time, it has a separate timer that I use for everything, it looks good, and I am saving money by using gas/versus electric. It also has a self cleaning oven feature! Best purchase ever!

This range has features I didn't have before, like the automatic light when the door is opened & most importantly it lets me know when the oven has reached the temperature I set it for. No more guessing before putting my food in. And it's great looking too! Highly recommend it.

We have had this unit for a couple months and love it. We had a similar model previously (white) and upgraded to this one. The stainless/black combo is far superior to white. We love the larger window on the oven door and the individual burner grates are easier to handle and clean.

This was such a bargain for the money. Water boils so quickly. Had always used an electric stove....so glad I switched and it was an Amana! Cleans easily - cooks wonderfully. What else can you possibly want???

This was a birthday present from my favorite sister a few days before thanksgiving! As my prior stoves brain board went kaput! In a panic of course with numerous family coming for Thanksgiving dinner this wonderful stove was delivered. I am really known for my fried chicken you see not turkey. So of course I needed to know if the gas would evenly cook the chicken in my birthday blue cast iron skillet! I bought a month ago and I am so happy about front look stainless still matches to our kitchen well. But black top is too dark. Performance: Liquids and semi-solids heats well in a flat bottom container; But the flame does not touch the rounded container in periphery. And it does not touch center of flat surface. Scope for improvement: If they can utilize low swirl flame technology with smaller burners; it would be heating the all foods evenly and more economically.

Purchased a replacement for an old Amana oven we had. Saw a sale, and nabbed this one! It's very well-designed, and the automated functions are beautiful - e.g. oven warm-up with the temp. displayed on the screen, slowing increasing until it reaches the desired amount! You can hear a few clicks as the oven lights up, but it's very quiet otherwise. The burners don't have 'auto-detection' on the electric starters, so they'll keep 'clicking' until you move the dial. Otherwise, they light instantly. Don't love the extra-larger burner on the front left. It's great to have if you do large pots... more BTUs... but for general use, I'd prefer the big burner be in the back. That's just a personal preference. It's nice to have an extra-large burner either way. Clean-up has been a breeze as the burners are all sealed. The enameled finish seems very resistant to scratches. The burner caps do get stained...might be a special aluminum stain remover that I'll have to research. The heat does this...and it's probably normal. It also looks terrific! We purchased the 'black' oven, with stainless steel accents. I was concerned it would look small, but it looks quite large and fills the space perfectly! Storage under the oven is great, and haven't had a chance to use the auto-clean function: I'm told that it's better to just wipe it down as the auto-clean wears out the inside...too much heat. So far, we love the oven and would highly recommend it! It was a terrific value!

After a slow start retrofitting my gas connection and finishing installation, I have been happy with my new stove. Mostly cooktop use, naturally, in the first 2 weeks. Used broiler twice, and I really like the oven-ceiling burner way better than the down-on-my-knees burner in my old stove. Perfect results from slow-cooking a clay pot beef stew for the SuperBowl :)

Looks great in my kitchen! It is stainless steel and trimmed in black. I had been shopping around for awhile and came upon this model with a very affordable price. I didn't want a model with a lot of bells & whistles. This is a good basic gas oven with a self-cleaning feature and easy to operate. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it highly.

Purchased this Oven almost a year ago and was very happy with it until it started messing up. The oven would not keep the temperature that it was set on. I had to keep resetting the temperature on the oven so that it would finish cooking. What really upset me the most, was the oven started messing up on Christmas Eve. How upsetting is that?!

We wanted a nice-looking, good working, inexpensive stove for our second kitchen. This one fits the bill very well. The ONLY complaint I have is that the burner covers tend to scratch the cook top where they sit. I make popcorn a lot and move the pan back and forth and it is scratching the surface under the cover.

Great range for the money, had a extended problem with delivery, so we have not had it that long. LP conversion went well with supplied parts included with this range. The bottom drawer is of thin cheap metal. This is a storage drawer, so it's not a big deal, not used very often. Adjustments for burners is very easy, nice features, etc.

Title really says it all. This doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles you'll never use, just smart touches you'll appreciate. Like when the oven is preheating, it has a readout of the current temperature on the display as it's heating, so you can put your food in when it's "close enough". Oven cooks as evenly as my mom's convection, provided you leave space around each rack (leave one or two blank spaces when making two sheets of cookies, for example). Top burners have excellent control, all the way from stir fry to simmer. Not to mention that the stainless looks great!

I purchased this 2 months ago because it was an upgrade to my white appliance and the features were what I needed. I love how quickly the high BTU burners heat and also find the lower drawer very useful for skillet and lid storage.

It's a pleasure to prepare meals with this new range and oven. The different power burners (especially the max burner) are great for preparing meals. The oven fires up and heats up quickly, food is baked evenly. The electronic controls make everything so simple. On top of it all, the design is extremely attractive.

I love my new oven ... I love to bake and this is the perfect oven to do so. The oven is wide enough to put two cookie trays side by side. It's easy to use and bakes everything perfectly. I would only get a Amana product because it's reliable and this new one replaced a 30 year old oven ... Need I say more?

Well made gas stove but top of stove suffers from a sub-par paint job.. A black top gas stove should not be able to scratch, especially every time the grates are returned to their positions after cleaning. Come on Amana.. Improve the painting process. Other than that a great stove for a great price.
