Caught fire, house smelled like burnt wire insulation, and unit won't heat. Fan, light and new smoke function just won't quit. This unit would serve as an excellent demo at Home Depot to show buyers what to expect! Wish I had a video to post here and on YouTube!!!

Finally got rid of our old over the stove microwave and replaced it with beautiful Amana! Everything sold today is Stainless steel but our kitchen is all white, so when we found this one bought it and we stumbled on a sale that sweeten the deal...we are still getting used to the difference but love it, warms and cooks so much better than our old one!

exhaust fan only removes exhuast from back burners of stove

I have a standard size stove and the exhaust fan located at the base of the microwave is not efficiant in removing the steam from pots being used to cook food on the front of the stove ! I'm not happy at all !

Wish I could recommend this, Great unit that worked as it should. Preset settings were spot on for defrost and reheat. It made our lives so easy going into the purchase it had everything going for it. Price was excellent, Features and functionality were exceptional, topping other products costing 2-3x more. But 6 months into purchase, it failed. Repaired under warranty with a couple of issues that were finally resolved. Works again, but not like when it was new. Too bad really, was great little microwave.

I absolutely love the special features on my new microwave. Unlike some microwaves that just have a problem button or defrost and enter weight, just to name a few, Amana hours a step further with specifics. Example: what are you defrosting and then the weight and what size popcorn bag are you popping. Gives you more accurate, precise cooking.

I purchased this microwave 2 months ago and it has be a life saver!! I was without a microwave for a month and this model has been FANTASTIC. It has been easy to use ~ my 8 & 11 year old are able to work all the buttons and set the clock when it was day light savings. This unit is easy to clean, has a bright overhead light inside and lighting underneth the unit that shines onto my stove for easy cooking. This is the best by far microwave that I have purchased in the 3 homes I have owned. Thank you Amana.

I bought this microwave as replacement for an Amana I had used for almost 10 years. My son broke the old one by running it for over 12 minutes straight. Note: don't use the Add 30 Seconds button as a timer. I wanted a similar style and brand to match my existing appliances. I also hoped that the original hanging bracket would work. It didn't but it was an easy install. It has worked beautifully.

We got this as a gift, it is a great over-the-range microwave!! Our light bulb for under the microwave did go out fairly quickly (seemed to of broke inside). Otherwise has been an excellent product!

Bought this to replace a broken Microwave and it is even more powerful than the 6yr old one I had. My only complaint is I don't like the vent pushing the air upward instead of out toward the front of the microwave. This has caused the door above the microwave to start to fade. I have only had this a few months but i see all the microwaves are now made this way

I bought this and two months later the plastic around the door handle started to crack and now it is close to breaking off , I figure about another month to go. Checked on price for a new door it would cost $149.00 , I paid 170.00 for the entire oven new. I will buy a stainless steel next time.

The time finally came to replace our microwave. I was willing to compromise slightly on features to stay within our price range. The unit we bought was on sale the day we picked it out and then when we got home we realized it was the same as the one we had before and loved. All the features were there including easy to use keys, two fan speeds, two light levels and the rotating plate. It works great and we love it!

This is a value priced no frills well functioning machine. It was simple to install and is not loaded with buttons and gadgets to get in the way of simple needs. It is large enough to warm a casserole in a family sized container and simple operation makes it family friendly. The vent comes on automatically when it senses high heat on the stove below and that simple function is a huge benefit (as when I was burning something a few weeks ago and it kept my kitchen from filling with smoke). I am happy with my purchase and it's very reasonable price.
