My old dishwasher (Frigidaire) crapped out and I didn't realize how loud it was compared to this one. I seriously had to open it during cycle to see if it was actually running. The only negative that I could say is that the tines on the top rack are easy to bend out of place.

Pump failed after 2 years

A major part failed and we spent 3 months trying to get Lowes to replace it under their protection plan. No one could get the part so they had to replace the whole thing. I'm glad we got the protection plan! Definitely not getting another from this brand. It did a mediocre job cleaning dishes, smelled bad and started growing mold despite regular cleaning. The utensil racks were a pain to deal with. I've used 10 year old dish washers I've been more satisfied with. Only good thing was it was fairly quiet.

I bought this model at the end of September when my old KitchenAid made a flood in my kitchen (after 10+ years of superior performance). I really love the layout--it's very efficient with space. It's very quiet, and cleans the dishes very well. My only suggestion for future KitchenAid models is that my old model had a front panel telling you how much time was left on each cycle, and this current model has the controls on the top of the door. It was a really, really nice feature to know how much time was left.

Super clean dishes and glasses!

I bought this Kitchen Aid to replace a seven year old Kitchen Aid (which I think is a pretty short lifespan for a dishwasher gently used by two adults). The dishes and glasses come out spotless and the dishwasher tub is spotless too. I use the Normal Wash with the default Pro Dry. I have two features I preferred in my previous Kitchen Aid. The rinse aid indicator was easier to see and fill and the silver ware baskets had more dividers. I do not know why the designers changed these features as they are now harder to see and load/unload, respectively Because of these two changes, I can only rate my new beautiful dishwasher as a four.

Have been using the KitchenAid dishwasher now for a couple of weeks and am very satisfied with it. It is SUPER quiet and does an excellent job of washing dishes. I'd give it 5 stars except that although very good, it doesn't dry quite as well as my old machine. Still, I'd purchase it again and do not hesitate to recommend this model.

We had a Bosch that lasted only 5 years and then someone talked us into yet another brand, a lemon to be sure. After 3 years of complaining, we finally bought this Kitchen Aid model. Very Quiet; I can stand next to it and hardly hear any sound. The drying cycle is excellent, even on plastic. And, though I don't load it with very dirty dishes, it cleans well and the glasses sparkle. And the dishwasher interior itself is always shiny. The only thing that causes a bit of extra work is that this model did not come with a smudge proof stainless exterior.

We've had this dishwasher about 3 years. The wash arm on the top rock stopped working a while ago, so the top rack doesn't get clean. Most of the wheels have fallen off the bottom rack, one by one. And now the clip holding the top rack up broke off. This was one of the more expensive dishwashers, but it's been such a major disappointment.

I replaced my old KitchenAid dishwasher with this new model, and I am very happy with it! The thing I like best is that the layout of the dishwasher is very efficient, and avoids nesting for my plates and bowls. This model cleans my dishes perfectly, whether there's a little food on them or not. It's QUIET and holds a large capacity of dishes. The one and only thing that I wish I still had from my old KitchenAid is that the old model used to display how much time I have left for each cycle, and this model does not. This model has the controls on the top of the door, not on the face of the door. Knowing how much time I have left for the cycle was an absolutely fantastic selling point.

We bought this to replace an old dishwasher. I knew Kitchenaid made quality appliances so this was one top of my list. I have not been disappointed. It's so quiet that people can't tell it's running. The most amazing part for me is when I open the dishwasher to put the dishes away they are completely dry. Unheard of! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the utensil caddy is on the side versus the front of the bottom rack. Would rather it was more accessible.

I bought this dishwasher about 3 weeks agao and i love it! The racks pull out smooth and there is a spot for everything! My favorite is the delay start mode, i try to remember to start the dishwasher every night before bed and some nights i forgot, not anymore set it on 2 or 4 hr delay and it starts without me having to push anything! This is a very touchy machine

The control buttons are on the top of the door, so you must press your choice and then close the door. I ran the machine with my detergent only (no rinse agent),and every thing came out wet. I know i should use the rinse but why should i HAVE to my old GE worked ok without it. The machine worked ok for a couple runs, then a "lock" ikon displayed on the panel, and the machine would not start. I looked for this lock in the directions. No such thing appears. The directions do NOT include a phone number !! Next step was the web...No way to get an instruction manual on -line !! i eventually found a chat line I typed my request about the lock and someone gave me a answer. By then i was ready to scream. It seems you MUST CLOSE door within 3 seconds of telling the machine to start. If you don't , it automatically locks!! we are paranoid about it now as we have had it lock on us 2-3 times more. Machine also has some other problems and seems to stop and go blank. We don't know why. We have to press cancel and hope that it resets its self. nothing on the screen to give us a hint as to problem. I have read directions twice. You don't get a Manual and i could not get it on line . so I am working with this messed up Junk they have included as User guide.(English pages are spread though the guide) I have been using it about a month and i still don't know what i am doing except closing the machine as quick as possible after pushing START.

I purchased this unit after getting frustrated looking at several other dishwashers....I knew that any KitchenAid product would not disappoint me in any respect so tiring of "shopping" flashed my plastic and now one has a happy home.
