I have alway liked Kitchen Aid appliances for their style, durability and efficiency. I especially like the wall oven because it is streamlined and it really made my kitchen look beautiful. I love that it is compact and it fits my narrow space so well. Like my dishwasher, this did not disappoint.

I have had these ovens for about three weeks and have yet to use all the features available. I love the way they preheat and cool down and do a superb job of baking or broiling without drying out the food.

I used the self cleaning oven mode and it broke after one use. I was told it heats to 800 degrees which should not be used for a wall oven. the model year after mine was switched to a steam cleaning which heats to 400 degrees. I feel my oven should be replaced as I cannot use the self cleaning mode and seems a danger to use in our home. Very dissatisfied with kitchenaid.

Very easy to install. First convection oven I have had and it really works efficiently. Food comes out faster, saving time in the kitchen.
The second oven really makes a difference in cooking different foods at different temperatures.

This is my second kitchen aid oven. The first one had its panel fried by a power outage. It did well for a while and then in the middle of cooking something I would have a power failure, so it was time for a new oven. we are limited by the space allowed, but we loved our previous kitchen aid and bought another one. All of our appliances in our kitchen are kitchen aid except our gas cook top.

We had a disaster at the house and had many rooms to have work done. We decided this would be a great time to update all our appliances. We came across this double oven While we were actually looking for a new Fridge. We were having custom cabinets built So it worked out great size wise. I love the way it cooks. It does not take long to warm, easy to use. Plenty big to cook large things in. It truly holds up to the kitchenaid name.

Bottom oven
Me2018
2/25/2019
I ordered my ovens the end of August 2018. It is only my husband and I so I actually did not use the bottom oven. Until Thanksgiving. After using the oven three times: a single batch of cookies, a cheesecake and an apple pie, the bottom oven stopped working. The motherboard and face plate were then replaced. So far the repair man has come three times! My concern is I was told the warranty would not be extended past the delivery date. There is only so much baking I can do for two people to see if the last repair worked! Time is passing and I feel I paid over three thousand dollars on a retirement income for now refurbished ovens!

We stumbled across this double wall oven at Sears. We currently have a the same size oven, but it was so old! We figured we would just have to remodel our kitchen in order to get a new oven the same size that was a quality product. This oven is perfect! Looks great, fits perfectly in our kitchen and functions great! I love that it's smaller, believe or not, it seems to cook the food better because it takes less time to heat a large oven. My favorite cooking sheets fit perfectly! It's also easy to use! Obviously, I'm thrilled!

I had a Thermidorian that went bad and I needed a 24 inch. This was the only one I could find with self cleaning top and bottom. It's good but if I open the door the temp seems to go down a lot. That could be because the oven is very accurate. So far I am very happy with the results I've received from it. Both the top and bottom Baking and roasting. I would like to give it a 5 but I had to have the bottom oven serviced after I self cleaned the oven the bottom would not heat up. The service took more time than they quoted. I am satisfied with the results.

Very good replacement for old Thermador
Happy Older Homeowner

Our Thermador double oven was more than 20 years old, and parts were becoming hard to get, so we decided to replace it. Melinda at RenWes Sales showed us the various units that would fit our 24" wide opening. The KitchenAid unit was the best for features, irregardless of price. It has been installed and working for two months, and has surpassed our expectations. Baking, roasting, broiling, or proofing all work well. It's easy to use and clean.

Problem with install instructions
Whlars2018
1/2/2019
We bought this 6 months ago and have had the lower oven thermostat replaced twice. There were two dimensions listed as minimum, but they now say that another dimension , distance from floor, is also required to be a minimum for it to be under warranty. We paid the dealer for professional installation. So far no no one will take responsibility for the mix up and my cabinet maker estimates $900 to make another cabinet face/insert. Kitchen Aid needs to correct their install instructions and make us "whole" for the new cabinet plus the new install. Cannot recommend based on their install manual.

Fuse issues
Lissa11
1/2/2019
I purchased my double wall oven on October 6, 2018 and was not able to have it delivered or installed until November 12, 2018 due to manufacturer quality hold. On December 12, 2018, I attempted to use the "self clean" mode on the oven for the very first time. Half way through the self clean cycle, the entire oven shut down. Apparently there is a design flaw with the placement of the thermal fuse and the fuse "blew" during the self clean cycle. The KitchenAid repair tech came out to fix on December 17th. The next day when I attempted to bake in the oven, another fuse blew! Due to the holidays, the oven was not able to be repaired until December 27, 2018. So, for only owning the oven for a little over a month, two fuses blew on a brand new oven!

Have been happy with most functions of this unit, convection works great. We don't normally broil anything, but everytime that we have it has been a gamble as to whether the broiler units work. They sometimes come on until they start to get red and then shut off right aways, other times they don't come on at all.
I write this as my wife is down the street at her mother's house with my birthday cake trying to brown the top; again she tried to use the broil function to put that crispy texture to my cake, but was ultimately disappointed again - as I am.

I have been looking at replacement ovens for the last couple of years and kept holding off since my old ones still worked. I did a lot of research and finally settled on this one. It was more expensive than the others I looked at, but it had all the features I was looking for. There is the self cleaning feature available in both ovens. Many of the other brands only offer this feature in the top oven which doesn't make much sense. It also has a convection feature for the top oven which I eventually plan to use (once I learn how). In the meantime, I can use bake and broil just like my old ovens. Another bonus is the windows in the oven doors. I can actually view the food in the oven! My old ovens had windows, but I still had to open the door to get a clear look at the food. They were totally worthless! These have a nice sleek look and fit perfectly in the space from my old ovens and I actually have more oven space even though they are the same size. I absolutely love my new ovens!!!

We bought this oven two months ago and seem to have gotten a lemon. Back ordered, so I guess only had it operational for a month. The top oven has already failed and getting it serviced. Thankful it is under warranty and KitchenAid has been helpful on that front. But for the price, I am concerned with the durability.

Have had multiple issue with Kitchen Aid oven
JanetC
4/3/2018
This started with a purchase of a Kitchen Aid double oven in 2014. Because of a health issue, it was not installed until October of 2017. It worked perfectly until the first time I used the self cleaning feature in February 2018. Then it died so dead not even the lights worked. Called Kitchen Aid and discovered it was a "known issue" so they agreed to fix it. However, the parts to repair were not available, nor were they in production. Two weeks later Kitchen Aid offered to replace the oven for $500.00. We had to uninstall it and have it ready for pick up when the new oven arrived. For $200.00 we had it uninstalled and the new one installed. The replacement arrived with a broken glass door on the bottom oven. The glass was also not available for several more days. Oven worked perfectly for 4 days then it died on day 5. Repairman came out and fixed the door and repair the oven that was so dead the lights would not come on. Bottom oven worked, top oven would not warm up. 3 days later he came and pulled the oven again. It is working now, but I don't have a lot of confidence in Kitchen Aid appliances any more. Repair people were great, but quality of oven is not what I expected. The replacement oven did not have the temp probe the first oven had, nor does it have the hidden bottom element in the lower oven the 1st oven had. Both features I liked very much.

This oven looks great. But I am more into function than form. And this oven has all of the features to do that, including convection. To me it is a bit slow in heating up to
set temperature. But that could just be me expecting too much in this day and time of energy requirements.

Good oven, but two repairs in two years
Rob H
1/12/2018
I have revered Kitchen-Aid products since the 70's when I installed them for living. As with most appliances these days, I don't find them as reliable as they used to be. Case in point, I am now replacing the second high-limit thermal switch in the unit. They seem to fail after a couple of cleaning cycles, and I have yet to find an OEM replacement limit switch that seems to stand up to the duty required by the cleaning cycle. It's bad enough that the replacement switches are upwards of 50 bucks, and worse yet that i have to pull the oven out of the wall to replace them; easily a two-man job. I also agree with the previous comments on the venting and pre-heat time, but it is to be expected in a wall mount unit. I am pleased with the functionality otherwise.

Some nice features, but a couple of serious flaws
Nick in Palm Springs
12/14/2017
We bought this model because it's one of the few 24" double ovens around with self-cleaning possible on both the upper and lower. Also, it matched some other Kitchenaid products we own, and they all look good together. That said, I can't recommend this for anyone other than those who are installing the oven in a standalone island. The big flaw is the fact that both ovens vent directly into the kitchen. There is no vent connection at the top, side, or rear that can be used to send exhaust to a pipe and out of the house. That means your kitchen will immediately heat up the moment you turn on the oven and the area directly in front is almost unbearable. And it's not passive heating; the fans actually blow the hot air and cooking vapor into the kitchen. When you turn on the self-cleaning cycle, the room air actually becomes dangerous for certain kinds of pets (it certainly stinks up the entire house).
I can imagine that some folks have no choice but to have the vent go right into the kitchen for construction reasons. But I have a perfectly fine interior vent in the cabinet that was intended for this very reason. Our old Thermador took advantage of this feature, and our kitchen remained cool and fresh during many years of heavy cooking. But this model fails to offer at least the option of routing the exhaust to a vent connection not on the front side and as such is simply unacceptable for anyone not cooking outdoors or living near the North Pole.
A second irritating flaw is the fact that the glass on the doors consist of two panes. That's great for insulation, but in fact the area between the panes is accessible by oven air during the cooking cycle. As such, impossible-to-clean streaks form on the inside of the two panes almost immediately from food moisture and smoke, and according to Kitchenaid you must remove the door and disassemble it at your own risk in order to get rid of those ugly, very noticeable streaks. Another example of poor design.
I do like the convection feature on the top unit and the two proofing modes make for a handy means for keeping dishes warm before serving. But the lack of vent other than on the front is a fatal flaw.

Final Review Pending - Broiler/Oven malfunction
M.A.
10/28/2017
The Kitchenovens are professionally installed in, what has become a second home/farm, with light use. When we're in residence, the ovens are expected to serve large numbers of guests. It was 6mos after installation, we first attempted use, and the broiler did not work. As it was a short visit, without the time to remain for a "fix", I decided to wait until October, when we spend a month, annually, at the home. After 4 top oven uses, there continued to be an electrical/synthetic smell, we assumed was "heating off the new", with an inordinate amount of fan noise. The 5th time we used the oven, this time at a temp of 380, there was a continued synthetic stench in the home, and it kicked off the circuit breaker. Broiler still not functioning. Have read the manuals, installation & use, without a solution. We are not ignorant of electrical, mechanical equipment, having successfully run businesses involving equipment & aircraft maintenance for 45yrs.
The Kitchenaid 24" ovens replaced my OUTSTANDING 25y old Thermador 24" dbl ovens, installed originally with heavy use. Thermador no longer makes a true 24" dimension to fit our cut-out. Kitchenaid, offered the only correct fit.
We're, so far, disappointed, as I chose higher end $$ appliances, to avoid a situation as this. I am starting the process of warranty repairs, and will update with a final experience, regarding service, and use; which hopefully, will end well & we'll be able to test over Thanksgiving!
