I have loved the style of having the freezer on the bottom. I had that feature years ago, and they seemed to go out of style. So I knew when it came to replacing the "side by side" I had, I would go for this style.The time came and I really love everything about this French Door style. It looks fantastic!! My adult children came to visit and were "wowed" by it.

We chose this fridge because of the amount of useable space, and the ability to shift the shelves around to fit what we need. The ice maker is in the door, so the upper left side of the refrigerator is open for use. Yes, the ice maker is not super large. If you're having a party or a lot of people over, you'll need a back up ice supply. The freezer on the bottom is very nice too. It has the main bottom section, and then a divided second drawer for smaller things. I also like that the space for the water and ice dispenser is very large. I can fit my tall electric tea kettle underneath without having to tilt it. We've had this refrigerator for almost a year now, and we are still very happy with it.

I bought this refrigerator about 2 weeks ago. Absolutely love the room inside of it and the shelf that you can make half of a shelf, handy! The outside is very sleek and appealing to the eye. It runs very quiet which was one of my absolute specifications, my old Frigidaire sounded like someone was banging drums when the compressor went on and off, this one is just a low humming sound, can hardly hear it. The only issue I see is a little ice on the freezer door seal forming but I called the person I purchased it from and an appointment has been set up with ease.

This unit replaces a 23 year old. It looks great and I really like the water filter feature -- I live out in the sticks and am on a well my water is filtered 3 times before it gets to the fridge and then again by the fridge so it really gives me peace of mind to know the fridge has triple filter technology as well. The freezer compartment is very well laid out and huge. The one and only thing I don't like is that I have one side visible to the kitchen and it is not Stainless Steel kind of a grey painted colour but most of them come this way and I really wanted a Maytag so I am stuck with it and am getting use to it.

We bought this unit to replace a 15-year old Whirlpool Gold refrigerator which was also a very good product. The things that immediately stand-out over the older model are the bright interior lighting, improved capacity/shelf system, and better aesthetics both inside and out. The unit runs very quiet and I don't hear it kick-on/off like the older refrigerator. The ice maker works great and we love the fast ice feature that quickly makes ice when needed. The layout of the shelves/drawers is well thought-out and the refrigerator never seems crammed with stuff so that you lose/forget stuff in the back of the fridge. The freezer capacity is sufficient and maintains a much more consistent freeze temperature than did the older model. Our only complaint, which is minor, is the noisy water pump to get a glass of water from the built-in water dispenser. Overall a great product and highly recommended!

Ice maker works very well. Storage area is well designed. I think the deli drawer should have been split to match the outer door configuration. This would have prevented having to open both doors to use the drawer. Otherwise, great product!

This is a beautiful refrigerator! I've had it for a couple of months now and the only issue I have is with the design, when accessing the interiors meat and deli drawer both of the exterior side-by-side doors have to be open to pull out. Rollers on the drawers are really nice lots of Storage room on the side doors as well.

If you want a refrigerator that keeps your items cold, this is it! I love the capacity and interior design of this fridge. Plenty of space and holds tall items with ease. I have had lettuce in my fridge over three weeks and it is still fresh. It appears to keep items fresher and longer than any fridge I have ever owned, including some older model Maytags. I like the pizza section in the freezer so you can stand a frozen pizza up? Nice option. Also holds other tall items in this section as well. Great design.

I love this refrigerator, with the exception that once in awhile we hear the hummmmmming noise. We are assuming it is the ice maker. But it does last for along time and very annoying. Outside of that it is amazing. The inside is perfect, I love the double door vs. the single on top. I usually check reviews and shop for 2 years before purchasing an appliance. I had prior to purchase figured out my next refrigerator was going to be a Maytag. This model went on sale along with the oven and I knew this was it. We have had it for couple months and I dearly love it.

It took me over a month to receive the fridge and now the water makes a noise and the ice don't make good. I absolutely hate this and wish I wouldn't have got this. It's been trouble from day one and no one wants to do anything about it.

Bought this refrigerator on 9-19-2014. Ice maker has always been slow in making ice and now the refrigerator section will not get cold. Called Maytag for service and they told me it would be 10 days before they could get a service person to repair it. Have had a Hotpoint refrigerator in my home for almost 30 years and it is still working. I Should have just bought another GE.

I wasn't sure what I was going to think because we were used to our side by side. When we transferred everything from our other fridge, it looked empty... So much more space. I was also not sure about the freezer drawer. I have found that functions wonderfully as well... Just had to get used to it.

I recently purchased a new home that came with this type of refrigerator which i understand is a few months old. The ice maker worked a few times and now has quit.before it quit entirely the ice would melt in the bin and water ran all over the p;ace The water also does not shut off entirely when you use it/ I do not have the original sales receipt so i have an appointment with a repair man for tomorrow.Sure hope he can fix it quickly. Thus far it has been a major disappointment. It was one of the reasons I bought this house.

I love my new refrigerator but I am very disappointed in the noise it makes when it is running. I had the repairman here twice but he says its normal. It makes more noise than my 19 year old refrigerator that I got rid of.

The lookand style is what brought our attention when choosing this brand and then when comparing the features to other brands it became our choice. The only minor issue is that the freezer drawer when full becomes heavy when opening it.

Received my new frig 3 days after Christmas. Love the size of it, but not happy at water dispenser. Everytime I dispense water and pull cup away, it always drips. Very aggravating. French door does not slide out as easily as I thought it should.

Nice looking fridge, but far too loud. I can hear it from multiple rooms away. My old maytag I moved out to the garage which is 12 years old is only a quarter as loud as this high dollar model. For spending this much, they should have made it much quieter.

I like the way this fridge looks. However I would prefer the ice be in the bottom with the freezer. This would allow for more door storage in the fridge. I'm not crazy about the shelving layout, but not sure of a solution for that.

We built a brand new house 9 years ago and have all Maytag appliances. Our Maytag refrigerator had to be repaired 2 times before it went out so we replaced it with this new Maytag so it would match our other appliances. Was very disappointed to see that the sides are grey. Not impressed with the ice machine and the little hinge on the door gets stuck open so the door will not shut on its own. You have to push it in to shut the door. Every time you open and close the door, it makes a very annoying sound like the motor is revving up. Not happy with this purchase at all!

We haven't had it long, but so far really like our new refrigerator. It's our first bottom drawer freezer and is taking a little getting used to, but I like the seemingly large amount of storage room. Only complaint is that the ice cubes tend to stick together for some reason - but they come out of the automatic dispenser OK.

We had our last Maytag refrigerator over 18 years! So when we were looking for a new one it had to be Maytag! I like the fact that the freezer is on the bottom. We also live in an area where the humidity is high in the summer time and I had a bag of spinach in the humidity control drawers and it stayed fresh for 2 weeks! I also like the fact that you can adjust the shelves at different heights on each side of the double doors. My feeling is that you get what you pay for and I have always had all Maytag appliances and will continue to have them in my home!

We purchased this Maytag because we had a Maytag that lasted almost 10 YEARS with no problems. I placed my order mid Aug. First one was delivered dented to I refused it. They finally delivered on 09-08. I hadn't even had this new one a month and I started having problems. The fridge is not getting cold. I noticed milk going bad fast. NEVER had this happen before. Ice condensation forming on the inside of the freezer. Now it's not making ice as it should and getting noisy. Plus this one is supposed to be bigger than my last but for some reason the drawers seem smaller and overall just seems smaller. I also seem to be missing a bin. It was delivered/installed on 09-08-15. Today 10-08-15, I called to get this serviced hopefully someone will come soon. With all of their advertising of being a great product I hope I don't get the run around if they can't fix it. We certainly did not spend over $2000 DOLLARS to end up with a subpar appliance. I'm afraid I should have done my homework after reading some other reviews that have had similar problems with this same model. Such a disappointment considering that before I used to tell everyone what a great fridge I had from Maytag. Now I can only say it's not headed in that direction.

I had my previous Maytag/Whirlpool defective refridgerator finally replaced 3 weeks ago after months and months of failed repairs. The "old" model was discontinued and I was given this similar model as a replacement. It was missing a door bin and when I called about it, a rude customer service rep told me that despite the fact that it is shown in pictures with all the bins, this model does not actually come with that many. In less than 2 weeks, I was seeing the exact same issues as the previous fridge- condensation inside & outside, melting ice cubes & now a dripping water dispenser. It is also constantly making sounds and humming. My first call for service "mysteriously" didn't get scheduled and the rude customer service rep told me that I did not have a new warranty with the new fridge and heavily pressured me to purchase an extended warranty, which I declined. I do not want this broken down appliance nor do I want to tolerate wasting any more of my time with dozens of failed repair appointments like the previous model. I want my money back and I would strongly caution anyone considering a Maytag/Whirlpool applicance to reconsider.

I've had my new refrigerator 3 weeks and so far, it's pretty much perfect. I love the style, the # of shelves & drawers, and the freezer space. The one thing I don't like is the noise it makes. My prior refrigerator, a Kenmore Elite, was very quiet. This one is never silent, but it does what it is supposed to do; it keeps everything cold so I will not complain.

I bought it less than two years ago. The first three days you could not hear it run the compressor was so quit. Then it started to get louder and louder. Time went on and the ice maker started to produce less and less ice. After about a year ice started to form on the bottom of the ice maker itself this really made the unit get louder. You could unplug unit let it defrost and it would run quit again for a day then start the cycle all over again.Finally gave up and called maytag for help was given a local repair mans number. Called repair man and he said he does not and will not work on these fridges. I live in a rural area and the next closest repair place that maytag works with is 1.5 hours away and only comes once a week and they get booked up quick. 1st appointment had to wait 1 month (fridge completely quit working will waiting for repair) Tech said compressor is bad ordered a new one. He returned 3 weeks later. Installed compressor I had to pay around $400. This did not work. He comes back 2 weeks later the Freon lines are plug blow them out and recharged. This did not work he now ordered another compressor and I am waiting to see if this will fix it. THis has been an unfair problem from day 3 but it has been over 3 months now without a fridge. When you pay over $2K for an appliance you expect more. I really hope Maytag will step up and take care of their customer.

We recently purchased this model and really love the large capacity. The shelves are large and has lots of room for food. The freezer is great as well. The only complaint is the above average humming sound the refrigerator makes. It makes this sound all of the time. I have thought about calling for service just to be sure it is operating properly, but we have had no issues with keeping the food cold, so I am assuming this is just the design of the unit.

We bought our fridge on June 22, we have had the repairman once already to order parts to prevent heavy condensation in the upper portion and the fridge never stops working. Last week we condensation all over the outside of the freezer door and the side of the fridge. Repairman is coming out next week. Too many issues.
