This was a must buy was very exciting. The only problem I've had is that silicon seal has a tear in it, but thankfully theres a 10 year part warranty on these products, I'll need to file a claim hope there able to repair this.

Bought this washer dryer pair just over 3 years ago. Worked well and cleaned well, however started making loud noises recently. Repair guy took one listen said gears or basket support broken and that it would cost more to repair than get a new one. Called Maytag, they could not help me. Luckily I bought it at costco when they still had a good return policy. 3 years for a 1000$ washer is not what I expected, maybe I got a dud, but wont buy Maytag any more.

The total cycle time of this washer is quite a bit faster than our previous make, and the spin cycle is much more effective in spinning out water, so that the dry time is also reduced. Overall, the increased cycle time makes laundry day much less time consuming.The operation is much quieter than our previous model, so much so that we cannot hear it running if we are not right in the laundry room.And as expected it cleans very well

We purchased this washer a couple of weeks ago, and were dismayed when the washer leaked the day after installation. Waited 10 days for the part to be installed, and it no longer leaks. Further, the amount of water used in the 'normal' cycle is barely sufficient to wash the clothing. There is no option to add water. the cycle time is long, 43 minutes for normal, a whopping 120 minutes for "power wash. Not good. What use is an HE washer if it does not clean the clothes?

I love the design and user friendly aspects of this washer. So much so that when the second home purchase did not have a washing machine I bought the exact same washing machine for "Laundry room" which is really a dryer attached to the wall in a closet. It works for me, if I were 6" taller.Laundry is done, clean, almost dry to toss in the dryer.

I bought this machine thinking it would be better than top load. The detergent spills into the clothes, staining them since so little water is used at the beginning of the cycle to thoroughly wet the clothes. In order for clothes to smell fresh and clean you have to put detergent 3 separate times as the first cycle uses up all the soap yet the machine goes for the detergent 3 times in the full wash cycle. Have had to resort to only using powder detergent since the new HE detergents are a deep blue that again stain clothes when the clothes aren't fully soaked. Don't recommend this machine.

I bought the matching washer and dryer in October 2015. We have them as a stacked set and are more than pleased with their performance. The washer uses less water and detergent. The washer also spins the clothes so dry that it takes less time to dry them. Very very pleased!!!!

I bought this washer around Columbus Day. For the first couple of months it was great. I've never had clothes spin out drier than with this washer. But it stopped spinning out like it had and actually left the clothes wet. After three attempts at repair it was finally replaced (today). Hopefully this will perform and last. So performance wise I can recommend this washer, but it had to be replaced after only 3 months.
