I've owned mine almost 4 years. I have had no problems, no service calls, clothes get clean. It is my first experience with HE, so that's a little different. I've had Maytag appliances for many years with excellent results.

This. Is. The. Worst. Machine. Don't buy it. Same problems as everyone else. Consistently won't drain. Have to manually drain it at least once a week. Errors all of the time. Super picky about the load. (If its not full enough, won't work. If its towels, won't work. If its jeans, won't work.)

Really a bad clothes washer

After one year, the electronic board had to be replaced. This costs more than a new machine but I was able to talk my local retailer into lowering the price as the machine ws so new. After another year, the machine will slightly move when start is hit but then does nothing on any cycle. I really do not like this machine.

Just moved into an apartment a week and a half ago that had this machine in it, and I've had to call maintenance 3 times already to try and get this to work. Nothing about it makes sense, false error messages pop up. It's a disaster.

This is a pretty terrible design, as this washer consistently has problems with the drain blocking, thus filling with water and cycle unable to complete. I've had the same issue several times, resulting in hours of manual draining (the drain plug is also in a terrible, nearly inaccessible areas) fried motor, and then having to wait days for a Maytag service provider to come out. In addition, the manual is not available online! I am highly disappointed in this washer and would not recommend it to anyone

Nothing But Problems - Barely Lasted Past 4 Years

I purchased this washer with the matching dryer and had it installed March 2015. Within 6 months the washer was broken, still under warranty, but had to go without a washer for 52 days between sending out unhelpful repair people (3 times!) and ordering parts. Now only 3 years later the motor is completely fried and the washer is done for good, unless I want to pay hundreds of dollars for a new motor and installation. I am beyond disappointed for trusting Maytag quality and have never had more of a headache with an expensive appliance in my life. I will say that to make good for the nightmare I went through after 6 months of ownership of the washer, I was offered another one year warranty extension, which was nice. However, that did not recoup my lost finances by washing my clothes elsewhere and the time taken off of work. Now I am in the same situation but worse because the washer needs to be replaced completely or put in another motor which costs almost as much. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. I cannot believe it did not even make it 4.5 years! What a waste of money.

Avoid buying this washer at all costs. In my experience, they last 3-4 years tops until something breaks, right around the time the warranty expires. With the exception of the top, they a built in a way where you cannot easily open up the bottom or the back to try and check/fix any issue yourself. You need to disassemble a majority of the washer to get inside of it. You might as well buy a brand new washer if the smallest little thing on it breaks, because between parts and labor, it's just as expensive have a repair main to come to your place to try and fix it. For me, the last spin cycle on any wash stopped working. I watched all the videos online, I checked and cleaned everything I could access to try and fix it, and NOTHING. It's garbage and poorly designed.

Our machine is only three years old and requires the main computer control board and the motor has to be replaced. These repairs are more than the machine is worth. With the light use that it has had, the quality of this machine is very poor. I will never buy a Maytag product again.

This unit was purchased 6/2015. It did a great job until 2/18 in which the unit stopped spinning properly. It wouldn't reach proper spin speed. Technician from extended warranty visited and stated it was too expensive to repair. Notified that the extended warranty insurance company would contact me to "buyout"the warranty. Same thing happened to the dryer that was purchased with this set. Unbelievable that this would occur with both Maytag items within this time frame. Buyer beware. Do not recommend.

This thing came with the condo I bought, but the place would have been better off without a washer at all. The door latch and its sensor are garbage. The door will lock when I close it, but the washer will give me an error message and refuse to start because it thinks the door is open. I am not necessarily upset about that; I can spend hours starting and re-starting the machine until it decides to wash my clothes. My issue is that every time it errors, I am forced to cancel the cycle, which drains all of the product from its detergent/softener/bleach compartments, which I then have to refill. On average, I will have to fill the detergent compartment 3 times per load due to these errors. It's a colossal waste. Needless to say, this machine has single-handedly convinced me to never purchase another Maytag appliance.

This washer came with our brand new condo and it stopped working after a month. It stopped spinning during a mid-cycle and an error message of F.06 was shown. Talked to developer and warranty company and the service is 3 weeks out! This is an incredible inconvenience to any family, especially one with a 20-month toddler! It certainly does not mean that it will be fixed in 3 weeks. I was told by one shop that they will not come out for this machine because this is not fixable. We expect better quality from Maytag but this washer is so horrible. I need a replacement ASAP and definitely not the same model as I am certain it will break again after it is serviced.

We bought this washer in 2014 and it has broken down four times in the last four years. Our latest problem is the pump is broken. The new pump plus labor costs are $447, almost half the cost of the washer, and this is on top of the other repairs that we have already paid. Our repair costs have now exceeded the original price of the washer.

I wish I had seen these reviews before we spent so much money on the washer/dryer and the repairs. We bought the washer /dryer combo in 2015. Washer CD 43413376. Model MHWC 7500YWD This washer is in a second home. It is rarely used and almost from the start the high spin cycle was erratic. First we tried smaller loads; only one sheet; etc. then in the summer of 2017 we could not get the water from the clothes on any cycle and had to begin wringing them out. Finally called Supreme Appliances in Everett, MA. Their reference # 40869. They said it was the drain pump and installed a new pump…diagnosis $89+ part $138+ install part $129= $347.95. The first time we used it after the pump was installed the high spin did not work . They sent someone to run the machine and all the spin cycles worked for him but there were no clothes in the washer. Then the same erratic spin cycles started happening again. Called Supreme but they never called back . Very Disgusted, In Boston Boston, MA 02116

Temperamental totally unreliable machine. Needs not too much stuff and not too little, or it won't spin the water out of your laundry. You have to mollycoddle the machine and put in the exact right size load or it won't work properly, which can be hard to judge. Wastes energy as Countless times I've had to redo the load and add more stuff into the load in order for do what it's supposed to - wash and spin! A "30 minute"load takes up to an hour at times as it constantly stalls. This machine is such a royal pain that I wouldn't recommend it to my enemy. When it works properly, I am elated, as it often doesn't. Tried to have it serviced and the repairman said, "that's just how these machines are". Unacceptable piece of junk. C'mon Maytag- you can do better than this useless washer that needs babysitting.

My Mother bought this washer and the matching dryer a year ago and has an issue with the washer two months after purchasing. Has had repairmen in the house only to tell her, she is overloading the washer. She put in two bath towels while the repairman was there and he told her, "two was too many!" ... WHAT?? Then they came back again to replace the computer on the machine. Still didn't solve the issue! Next repairman says the installers need to balance the machine, again...WHAT?? He is a repairman, why can't he balance it? I'm confused and annoyed for my Mother, this machine literally shakes the house and has knocked several pieces of her china off the shelves. Let me mention again, no one can bare to be in the house with all of the noise. I will never buy another Maytag again, nor will my Mother! My neighbor just bought a stackable Maytag set, I told her to take it back and the reason why... She did!

If i could give 0 stars I would. This machine has only caused me grief. It breaks all the time and the customer service is so bad, Maytag consistently sent technicians to the wrong address (IN A DIFFERENT CITY) multiple times and it would take days to reschedule. I eventually learned how to empty the drain valve myself because it broke all the time. Ive had it serviced multiple times and it still breaks. I'm finally giving up and sending it to the scrap yard where it will be more useful. I want a refund. This is garbage. Im never getting another Maytag product again.

Bought this washer (MHWC75YWO) as a washer/dryer stack-able pair - cost Can$ 1800 - after 2 years the washer did not spin fast enough to disperse all the water and left clothes soggy/wet and not suitable for dryer. I did a complete trouble shoot exercise - cleaned pump hose filter etc. Problem not resolved. Called Technician/Repair man who charged Can$75 and said it was an electronic error - and quoted $350 to replace control board -- but he could not guarantee that that would resolve the problem . So we bought a new top loader with less electronic parts.Now this perfectly "good looking" machine is destined for the dump. Very frustrated and irritated that this in-service failure should occur in under 2 years and that the product is not fit for its intended purpose . MAE Halifax Canada

I'm so disappointed with this Machine. We've had it for about 15 months and I have had a repair man out five different times, totaling almost $500. Initially I was told to replace the door lock. Tried that, still no luck and clothes come out soaking wet. Machine refuses to spin fast enough to prevent clothes from coming out sopping wet. Today a repair man got code F22 which basically said possible broken bearing which would cost upwards of $700 just for parts. At this point I have put a lot of time and patience into this washer (about 6 weeks of it being broken now.) I'm so frustrated because it looks brand new. I would never suggest this machine based upon my experience and the other negative reviews. I just don't know how this is an $800 machine!

This machine was great.....until it stopped working when it flashed a F-06 code (motor/tachometer problem). Help from an extended warranty company (N.E.W.) that the big box companies uses was met with denial of claim. My washer has a cracked soap dispenser FROM THE FACTORY that leaked steam and moisture into the front control panel frame and caused corrosion. The cracking plastic affected the front cover also and when the N.E.W. (New Extended Warranty) hired technician hired by the extended warranty company left it hanging as the integrated mounting tabs cracked off. 2 separate technicians hired by the warranty company didn't even know what F-06 code meant. Instead of checking the motor, they only snapped photos to be sent to back to the warranty company ro review. Because the warranty company knows that this is an expensive problem to fix, they nit-pick anything to find fault with the consumer. Sure enough, they claim roach feces (no live or dead roaches were found) caused corrosion due to lack of maintenance....WHAT???!!! I would think steam and moisture entering the control panel area through that cracked soap dispenser housing is a more realistic cause of corrosion. NO NEED FOR EXTENDED WARRANTY AS THEY WILL DENY A CLAIM IF THEY FEEL THAT THE REPAIRS WILL COST MORE THAN A NEW MACHINE. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!

I purchased this washer in December of 2014 and it was problematic from day 1. A few minutes into the load, it would flash the F6 code and I would have to reset my breaker to get it working again. Then recently that fix stopped working. I called Maytag who sent someone over to look at my machine. The person they sent tried a couple things but quickly told me that the F6 code means my machine needs a new motor. The quote for this was $550. It's certainly not worth fixing at that price so we now have to buy a new washer after only 2 1/2 years. I guarantee you we will not be purchasing another Maytag.

I bought this washing machine 4 months ago. I wanted the new kind without the big thing sorry can't think of what they call it in the middle. I had a front end loader in which I loved and had it for years. I hate this washing machine wish I had left it in the store. It starts washing with hardly any water in it. It beats the clothes up but I have to wash my clothes. I'm forced to use it. I thought maytag was the best washer you could get but I was wrong. I want to give it 0 star. Even on the longest cycle it doesn't get clothes clean. Take my advice and don't buy this one. I would buy a front end loader. Wish maytag would take it back. I loath this washing machine.

Horrible Washer

Horrible washer! I purchased this washer less than 3 years ago have had it repaired once, had to wait 3 weeks for a backordered part and 3 months later it is broken again. Now I'm just going replace it. Wish these reviews were out there 3 years ago. Never would have purchased it!

vibration during spin cycle

We purchased this washer, Maytage Neptune, model MAR6700AWW, in June 2006. Our previous machine was a Kenmore that was 20+ years old. We gave it to our daughter. It is still in service. This new machine was an upgrade. It has functioned as expected with one exception. It vibrates during the spin cycle to the extent that it has to be pushed back into place when the cycle is complete. My wife cannot move the machine. This is very frustrating to know that if I'm not there the machine will stay in the way of foot traffic. I do not want to pay for a service call without having some kind of idea of, 1 if it can be fixed, 2 the approximate cost.

After 1.5 years, the drum of the machine has sheered from the paddle tearing clothes. After multiple phone calls and a service appointment they changed my "free repair" into a charge of $200 for a replacement. If I could rate zero stars I would.
