Stopped working and the "10-year limited warranty" doesn't cover it. I won't pay $600 for a short-lived, disposable microwave again. Won't buy Maytag again.

I bought this product from Homedepot on July 9, 2016, and shortly after one year, the door started to have problems by not allowing me to enter cook time, instead it kept asking me to open the door although I have opened and closed the door multiple times. I could get it to work by keeping opening and closing the door. But today the microwave lost power. I checked power supply by plug a table lamp, and power supply is fine. I did use Discover card to purchase this microwave, and it supposed to provide another year of warranty. I will contact discover card tomorrow and will update my review after the case. But it is a pain to handle all of those problems and I will try to stay away from this Brand.

works great as a microwave, convection oven is a little slow. heres the real problem. the hood part say it will do 400 cfm. i put a meter on it and it does about 220cfm. you can put a pot of boiling water on a front burner and it dosent draw it in. called the tech support and they sent a guy out. he stated that it is overrated and dosent do what it should. called tech support back and they stated if you dont like it return it. i asked about maybe getting a partial refund, and was told we dont do that. so if you buy it for the venting, dont waste your money......

Replaced a GE microwave that was in the house when we bought it. We looked at Maytag because we recently bought a Maytag refrigerator and have nothing but good things to say about it. The microwave matches the fridge finish perfectly, it is a breeze to use, and we love all of the features. My wife says the cook time seems to go much faster than the old one. I think it's because it's so quiet that she forgets that it's on!Next up...a new stove - Maytag of course.

With 2 exact opposites end within the decision making skill-sets, I researched the choices available that this model offered against all other competitors and knew this was the right choice. Slow and methodical, my wife took 3 weeks to come to the same conclusion. The end results, we extremely happy with our choice. So far this has been a good buy. Haven't used the convection feature yet, though. The one thing I don't like is the stainless handle. When I'm cooking on the stovetop, that handle gets HOT! I may have to make some kind of cover out of a towel. But it's very attractive. The preset buttons work well, too. I'm satisfied!

I absolutely love this. I have a new kitchen, love to cook and bake. I would of loved a double oven, but money just wasn't there. I bought this as a "second oven". It is wonderful, because I can use it as a oven to bake while using my older stove to cook too. Highly recommend this if you can't get two ovens. It does the job.

i bought this on Nov.12 but they haven't install it because of the mounting screw is short. Need to find & bought it from specialty store. I have Maytag before and the mounting screw was long enough to install it in a standard cabinetry. Poor hardware kit.

I've been using this product for over a month and am very pleased. The features give many options for food preparation and gives consistent results. There are two things I would change. The metal handle gets hot when I'm cooking on the range below it and I have to use a pot holder to grip it. Also, when the night light comes on it's the brighter light instead of the dimmer one.

I've only had the convection microwave oven for about a week. Haven't had the opportunity to use the convection. Microwave doesn't seem as powerful as other 1000W ovens I've used in the past. I'm a little hard of hearing and have difficulty hearing the beeps when timing is done - they aren't loud enough. Amber colored clock is a little strange. Love the outside look of the microwave and the steel interior.

We replaced a traditional over the counter microwave with the Maytag convection oven in our RV. Our thinking was / is such an appliance will give us a tremendous amount of cooking flexibility while being much cooler to operate over the gas stove/oven. We were right! We got Maytag Quality/reputation, a great price and it almost fitted in perfectly...almost, but in RV's almost is good. We are pleased to say the least.

So far working great, but some of the settings are hard to set as you have to go through the several unnessasary steps to get the setting you need. Other than that it is working great and also very quiet the unit I had to replace was loud.

I purchased the appliance to match my other new Maytag appliances with the "convection" feature. Living in a condo with no cooking-gas I believe using a smaller oven might be more economical. I love this oven. It roasts in half the time. The "reheat" function heats the food completely through without burning the edges and giving it that microwave Quality. I am enjoying the many other options and features this product offers. Thank you Maytag. I hope it does last 10 years. BTW, it operates really quietly. Much more than previous microwaves. Its nice to know an American Product can be good Quality. Bravo!

I purchased this over the range microwave/convection to replace my 11 yr old Whirlpool m/c over the range. I originally purchased the current Whirlpool m/c but the new design would not fit in the space. My sales person did some research and found this Maytag m/c which was the same size and had most of the same features but would fit in the space. I've only had it a couple of weeks and so far I am pleased with only a few reservations. 1. The MT is slightly smaller 1.9 cf vs 2.0 cf. The turntable is 14" vs 16" so some of my favorite dishes etc won't fit. 2. The wattage is less 1000 vs 1200. 3. The usage instructions are minimal. Fortunately I have several books from prior microwaves I can consult. 4. Didn't come with any cooking items. Fortunately the steamer that came with the Whirlpool still fits. 5. Fewer cooking options but so far I have figured out how to cook what I want. Less power is fine for some things but others take a little experimentation. For example the oatmeal setting does not cook 2 servings of oatmeal. I either have to do one bowl at a time or if I add more time watch carefully. The good points are dinner plates heat up better and faster than the Whirlpool. The vegetables I steam and the rice turn out perfectly. Also the wire rack can be used when doing two level cooking. I am going to bake chicken breasts this afternoon to try out the convection. Eleven years ago the Whirlpool was $900.00. The new Maytag was a little over $500.00.

Professional looking with loads of features and convection. Just got it installed less than a month ago. The biggest issue was getting it installed correctly using the vent system in place at the condo. The original installation person wanted to vent it to the kitchen not to the existing vent. They have to do extra work to install to a vent. Finally got it installed to the vent by another installation person from the delivery company!
