This appliance replaced a Frigidaire that died over a month ago, after 15 years service. I like my Maytag refrigerator very much. It runs so quiet you cannot hear it and it doesn't seem to produce a lot of frost in the freezer area, which was very aggravating. It is classy and makes my kitchen "almost beam"

I bought this a month ago and have had the repairman here 3 times and the problem is still not fixed. Now I'm waiting for parts to come from the factory. My freezer collects FROST and the refrigerator part freezes many things. So far, I am not a satisfied customer.

It's a great buy! The only issue is that it has already been leaking water from the bottom. It seems to only happen with indoor temperature of above 70 and mid to high humidity. I still have to call the seller (who also services) but I'm sure it's an easy fix.

upon first use of the plastic drawer for holding lunchmeat, it broke. Sent Maytag a complaint but never heard from them. Quality is not what it used to be. Wish I had kept my old Maytag it was much better made. Stronger plastic.Freezer didn't even come with an ice cube tray.

When lowering 1 temperature gauge to prevent frost buildup, then refrigerator doesn't seem cool enough. Freezer door sections very impractical, as smaller items tend to slip through very narrow shelves. Separate temperature controls for freezer and refrigerator would have been better.

I purchased this about 3 weeks ago when my previous Maytag died after 16 years. The old one was great. It had split shelves that could be moved and one shelf moved up and down via a crank to accommodate a taller item. As others have said, manufacturers have increased the height of refrigerators, severely limiting the options for those of us with a cabinet above the refrigerator space (without hiring an expensive cabinet maker). Tall items only fit on the door. If you have too many tall items, you have to make sure that their caps are screwed on tightly, as they will be on their sides on a shelf. The best feature is the full width drawer for meats and cheeses. However, even that isn't great as the stoppers don't always work. (I have had the repairman look at it, and there is no fix.)It does have a light in the freezer, but unlike my old one, their is no basket.Bottom line to the manufacturer: there are consumers, who are willing to spend more money on a lower height unit with more features. Just because we have a small space doesn't mean we don't want a better refrigerator!

have had it a couple of months now and I feel less cramped and more organized over all. The freezer did not have an ice cube shelf or trays and the opening at the bottom of the door shelves is so big that things slip out so we've bought a shelf and baskets and have dealt with these things satisfactorily.

We purchased this refrigerator from a local appliance store in Yerington, Nevada about two months ago.We paid for the unit when we ordered it and were very pleased with how quickly we got it. However,that is were our problem began. The door swing had to be changed and the freezer door paint wasdamaged when this was done. Two months later we are still waiting to have this problem resolved. Myadvice to Maytag is not to apply the door badge until the door swing issue is determined. Still waiting.

I love the full width meat drawer and use it for everything from tortillas, to herbs as well as my sliced meats and cheeses and even small salad fixings like avocados for easy access.I have to keep all of my tall items on the door which is taking some getting used to. I do find that I can't find things in my fridge as easily as I could with other style fridges. I would have sacrificed some freezer space to gain more fridge space if I had had a choice. This would have given me more top shelf space as well as door space for tall items. Also I think having a split shelf option is generally a good idea, but then I guess I lose my full drawer!

As humorous as this may seem, what initially attracted me to this refrigerator were the extremely study handles and that they are round for a great grip! My only challenge with this refrigerator is that the "Recommended" setting keeps the refrigerator portion at or near the freezing point. Since I refrigerate insulin, freezing is a concern. I keep two thermometers in different places in the frig and am still exploring the best location. Overall, a great refrigerator/freezer!

Since day two there was ice forming on the edge of the freezer. Service will be here in a week or so to change the seal or something else. Otherwise I am happy with the performance and the design. I like the see through shelves so I do not have to open the drawers to see what is in there.

Decent & attractive. The air freshener (that is recommended to be replaced every 6 months) location is terrible - you have to remove everything from the top frig. shelf and remove the shelf completely in order to access the filter.

I loved the size of my last Maytag and did not want to give it up for a newer more energy efficient model.But the seals weren't working, even after we had them replaced. So I called Slyman Brothers in STL and-low and behold-Maytag still made the same top freezer/refrigerator. However it did not come with an icemaker and I use a lot of ice. Slyman Brothers provided one but the ice bucket is small so I'm using the bigger old ice bucket. My only complaint is the shelves in the door of the freezer: they are not solid and items can fall through. I'm still learning how to adjust the temperature in the refrigerator.

This is the second Matag refrigerator of the same model. The original is still in use almost ten years. We bought another Matag frig to take on the overload. The door pulls have been greatly improved and the interior lighting is much better.

I took delivery of this refrigerator two weeks ago. After 8 days the refrigerator door started squealing every time it was opened and closed. A repairman will be stopping out next week to see if it can be repaired. Other than that it works okay.

The tray is not constructed correctly. If you put anything of considerable weight in the tray, the tray fall out of the rails. This is a real pain because it is one of the main features.

I bought this a week ago and the temperature of the refrigerator and freezer are not working properly. The freezer isnt cold enough and the refrigerator part is too cold. I bought this because I had another maytag fridge for 20 years which I loved. This one is nowhere near the same Quality. I bought it online. Also, check return policy. The place I bought it from will only refund less than 48 hours after delivery. Freezer door shelf is worthless, freezer dial is inside the freezer and only has 3 settings on a poor dial. Not worth the price.

I am happy with this refrigerator except for the design of the freezer door shelves. When putting bags of frequently used things, (ex. shredded cheese bags, igloo freezer packs, onions, peppers)THEY DROP TO THE FLOOR!The shelf should be longer - designed wrong! I went to a craft store and bought needlepoint plastic and bent it to fit! I can't be the only one with this issue! I thought I would love the wide meat drawer and it seems flimsy and falls off of the track all the time even with gentle use.

It's a nice fridge, overall. I wish there was a better way to use the shelves to have a gallon of milk/juice on there instead of the door. I also wish it came with a black exterior with the stainless steel. I don't like the gray.

I've had this refrigerator for a few months now and couldn't be happier. It was a great Value and it works great. Some reviews I read before my purchase said it was noisy, I don't understand their notes. It's not noisy at all. It's really quiet to me. I especially love the moveable shelf system on the refrigerator door, and the slim deli/dairy drawer is another feature I really, really like. The refrigerator itself keeps the contents very cold. The freezer works great, too! No problem with either component keeping the contents cold and frozen. I highly recommend this product and would buy it again.
