I am impressed with the machines. They are user friendly and well made. The online manufacturing information is a great selling point and are far superior to other brands on the market. The purchase price is comparable to machines far inferior in quality. This purchase was to replace machines I bought in 1991. Yes, they worked, but the one piece necessary, broken by a repairman, rendered the washing machine permanently inoperable. I purchased both the washing machine and dryer. They are efficient, quiet and although the dryer heating element recently went out, the service call was promptly answered and solved by a reliable/knowledgeable, polite, professional service provider. Since their projected operability is 25 years, I have teased with my family I have to decide who to will them to! Great products, great service!

TR7 top load washer - what a major costly mistake

I am very disappointed after having paid a great deal of money. My clothes are not getting clean and I use HE detergent and follow the guidelines in the user manual. In addition the lid lock is a major annoyance. Once the cycle starts, the lid cannot be lifted. It is locked till the load is done. I am having to inspect clothes after washing, wash my clothes twice and load it up with Tide stain release just to get the normal dirt my prior washer took care of.

I have never owned a speed queen, used one at a laundermat, but I will always own one. I am impressed with the way my clothes take less time to dry because of the spin cycle, also there is no rocking of the machine. There is a lock on the lid when the water level is accomplished, but if you forget to add an item you can press pause, as long as it is early in the cycle. This machine was money well spent

I had no idea Speed Queen had this level of quality! The difference between our old washer and dryer and these new SQ set is night and day, they are amazingly quiet and although the capacity is smaller they really do a much better job than our previous brand (LG). Product fell short of expectations

Purchased Speed queen based on the reputation of being a well built machine and does not break down with normal wear and use for close to 10 years. Within 1 month the dryer stopped working. The washer seems to require more water when using fabric softener or else the clothes will have stains from the softener.

This washer actually fills up above the clothing!

We absolutely love our new washer! It fills with water to completely cover the clothing instead of simply wetting it then beating it to death like other new washers do. We returned a brand new so-called "deep fill" Maytag for this reason. It's fast, quiet, cleans very well, spins out the water effectively and doesn't wear out our clothes. The only drawback for us is the smaller capacity, specifically that it can't wash a king sized comforter. I was told not to even try it, so I have not. Otherwise, it's a great machine!
