Bought the house with the thing in it. After a few months or so there will be one shirt or clothe that will be caught in the rubber thing. Must have destroyed more than 5 shirts and pajama. Couldn't figure out what's wrong even if I loaded it up half filled it's doing the same thing randomly. Just ripped 1 pajama a couple of weeks ago and the worst part the rubber was ripped too.

Looking for an excellent product at a great price this is it. Gets clothes cleaner than the 20 minute specials that cost $1.25 a load. The tumble fresh gets clothes almost dry and they can be hung up to dry naturally in a few minutes outside.

It washed the clothes clean..but clothes get catches somewhere and are destroyed. The clothes come out with wholes in them. It doesn't matter if they are big or small.

Nice options yes, energy efficient and still seems to wash clothes pretty good. The only thing i'm not liking about this is when there is a very small load in the washer, it makes really weird loud noises..

I have had top load washing machines my entire life and was very hesitant with buying a front load washer. Friends told me horror stories of mold on the doors and such. Well I am here to tell you that I LOVE my new Whirlpool washer. I found that if I leave the door open it dries what little water is on the rubber. It is quiet and really cleans. The machine spins your clothes ALMOST dry... I also purchased a Whirlpool front load dryer and couldn't be more happy with it either! I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 7.. I've done my share of laundry and I LOVE this WASHER!!!!!!!!

We are amazed at how fast it gets the loads done and how efficient it is. Our old washer took forever. The clothes are spun out much better too and don't take as long to dry after. Very easy to use. This is our first Whirlpool washer and we love it, it is so quiet when it runs.

These came with the home we just purchased. I thought it would be nice to have a new washer and dryer with so many features, etc., but I find it just isn't good enough. The washer does not spin the water out of the clothes properly and it takes forever! So much electric is spent on hours of washing and drying - that just isn't energy efficient! The dryer, for it's part, senses the clothes as dry - but they are not completely dry - so back in they go. . .Again, hours of drying. It's just the two of us and I spend all day doing our few clothes. . . Not something I would ever buy for myself, and we will be going back to a traditional top load when we can afford to buy replacements.

Previously owned a GE (never again!) The Whirlpool is well designed regarding eliminating the water near the gasket of the door. After I run the drain and spin, there is no water in that area; don't need to dry it out. Still leave the door open...very satisfied with the way it washes the clothes as well.

I love this new washer. Place your soap & softner, choose your laundry kind and go! Love the tumble fresh cycle. The thing g I love the most so far is how much $$ I have saved, not just in detergent & softener, but electricity and water. Also, VERY quiet. I'm glad I changed to a front loader :^)

Replaced our 10 yr old Kenmore HE Elite w/ this...not keen on the noises accompanied w/ every button press but washer is quiet in cycle even on hi spin. Seems to be Hi E but only have haed 2 weeks. Miss having more control over options w/ using tap water, etc.

Purchased several months ago and have been amazed at how little water it uses and how fast it spins. Clothes come out just damp so drying time is much less. Only item we have noticed is control panel is sensitive. Great unit!

I bought this washer in 2013 and always had water left in drum so we have to dry it out each time we use it. Plus if we don't use the washer for awhile we need to run a load thru because of the stall water left in before we wash clothes or the clothes stink. And now we have more problems when in the rinse/spin cycle. It sounds like a jet engine is taking off. Had a repair man in he stated the part to fix this will cost $800 not his labor. I will be calling whirlpool to find a solution or no more Whirlpool for this house.

I bought my whirlpool duet in 2003, yes, 13 years ago when I bought my first home. I just had my first major problem a few days ago. The washer is spinning out of control, something is loose during the spin cycle. Hopefully it can be repaired. If not, I've gotten extreme use out of this machine for 12 years doing 1-2 loads per day, everyday. It's phenomenal how long it's lasted. I will buy a new one if this one is not repairable.

My machine is ab. four years old . It is not used heavely, in a two person household. I have lived in Europe and know front load machines . This is below par in every regard. Spin cycle weak, does not handle heavy items like jeans. The temperature selection does not work, fills with hot water when I press warm etc.

My 4.5 year old front load washer is junk because Whirlpool decided to discontinue making a repair part. The part is the drum support spider. It was poorly designed out of aluminum that was too thin. Should have been made of stainless steel. Very diappointed I must now send this otherwise good machine to the landfill because this part has been discontinued. I will not buy another Whirlpool product if they can not be repaired.

Electronic controls sluggish to respond: it takes 2 to 3 minutes from pushing START to actually startting; forcing one to wait to see whether START button was pressed long enough. (If too short, machine won't start.) Also, stick to weight limits!!Stopped working one month after warranty expired. "Mother board not speaking to drain function," repair man explained. $220 charge.Washes well, as just about all front loaders do; have used one all my life (european).Was wrong to trust Whirlpool, sorry I didn't buy Extended Warranty.

This washer was installed on 5/2/15. We are a family of four plus a dog. I do one to two loads of laundry a day. When our old Frigidaire set broke, I spent lots of hours reviewing many brands and models for replacement. I was completely discouraged as every brand and model had some serious negatives as well as positives. My husband and I both decided on Whirlpool as it appeared to be the better of the options. So far, we have been thrilled! Of the issues noted before purchase - sounds like metal rolling around in the tub and uber sensitive controls - we found that we do have those issues but they are small and/or easy to get around. The metal rolling sound is only heard when you manually move the interior drum around or when the washer first starts. It appears to be the mechanism for load balancing. It is about 2 seconds in duration total. You do not hear anything when the machine is actually running a load. The controls are extremely sensitive, i.e., if you brush against them (like I do all the time to reach the cabinets above), they ding and/or turn on/off. However, these are the ONLY complaints I have about this washer. I actually REALLY REALLY REALLY enjoy doing laundry with these machines! (I have the matching dryer and it is just as great.) The first thing my husband and I said was "Wow! They are so quiet." With our old set (Frigidaire), we had to have plastic footers due to vibration. The service man laughed when we asked if they would be needed for the Whirlpool and he was right. I threw them away. He also told us that they don't get Whirlpool returns and they have had really great luck with the quality. Our old Frigidaire had major drainage issues, i.e., there was always standing water in the seal. (It was a first generation HE model.) The Whirlpool is clean as a whistle after each wash. The features have been great, the clothes are really clean, the machines look beautiful in the laundry room.

I am just trying to do regular household laundry for a family of four and this machine has been nothing but trouble. It is in fact the second Duet we have had because the first one delivered and installed died in the first 6 months and I finally got Whirlpool to replace it. Now three years on the pump motor seems to be going. It's been three years of coddling and temperamental performance from the machine. I dread doing laundry because I fear it will trip a code.I just want to do the laundry. It really should be simpler than this.
