This washer and dryer was in the new construction house we bought. It washes very well. It sometimes makes a lot of noise during a spin cycle. But, my biggest complaint by far is that it is very difficult to keep clean despite regular affresh cycles. The dispenser and gasket are almost impossible to keep clean and I keep the drawer out and door open whenever not in use. I wipe down the drawer and the inside of the dispenser and between gaskets after I'm done using and still doesn't stay clean. The inside of the dispenser and the drawer are especially difficult to keep clean because of little nooks and crannies that are very hard to get into - very frustrating!

Thankfully, I am finally able to dump this albatross. From the start, it has regularly eaten clothes, comforters, blankets. You name it, this machine will cheerfully chew a hole in it. And it now again leaks water like a sieve. Again. Last repair cost almost $400. This time, I went and bought something else. Something else not made by Whirlpool as I will never invest money in a lousy experience like this again.

very nice washer- love that it doesn't have to fill completely with water like the old school washers. Quiet. Occasional cleaning required around the rubber seal in the door. But what washer doesn't require cleaning at some point.

I bought this washer & companion dryer after moving about a month & a half ago. From day one I have been disappointed in my purchase. This washer does not have a lot of features.It made a loud noise on spin the first time I used it on the spin cycle but was checked out by a technician & said it was alright. Noise went away after washer being moved closer to dryer. There is no permanent press cycle or hand wash which I knew when I purchased it but I am sorry I did not buy another washer.The dryer takes several times to dry clothes. Technician said it is because dryer sensor is in the front & to put on timed dry. Also both have these annoying sounds when you put machine on & clothes are finished washing or drying. On delicate cycle ,clothes are very wet when cycle is complete. I definitely would not recommend this washer or dryer. My old washer & dryer which was 12 years old performed better.

We have 5 dogs so everything we own is covered in dog fur. Unfortunately, everytime we wash, we have to lift the gasket to "mop up" the water that is pooled there because the dog hair blocks the teeny, tiny drains. It's just a bit of a pain. I would recommend the washer to friends who don't have dogs!

I bought this washer excited to upgrade my 15+ year old washer. I like the front load and the space saving quality of stacking washer and dryer!But I have been disappointed- the machine makes way more noise when the pump is running than the old one I replaced and it doesn't drain well. I called whirlpool a couple of times but don't usually have time to sit on hold (hold times were 30+ minutes when I called), so I emailed them over a week ago for customer service and still haven't heard back. I am disappointed and frustrated.

More expensive than what I had originally been looking at. This is my first front loader and the Consumer Reports review swayed me. No quieter/noisier than my old top loader, but different noises. The one impression I have is that clothes seem to come out looking and smelling cleaner than those washed in the top loader. People mentioned front loaders had longer cycle times, but I think the cycle times on this machine have been perfectly reasonable. Whirlpool chat support was useless for a simple question, and registering the appliances online had errors in the process which was super annoying. If this and the matching dryer last a good long time without problems or repairs, I'd say it was worth the extra expense.

We bought this machine to replace one that had gotten moldy..... WORST CHOICE EVER!! This one has even more places and spaces for mold to grow, and it has all kinds of problems... (Worst of which is the way it's made.. To many spaces for water to collect).. From the first wash it didn't spin the clothes enough, so we had to do an additional spin... We would have returned it immediately but the family got sick and no one was in any shape to do so... So we kept giving it a chance hoping it get better... Nope only worse... We're now trying to return it as more problems keep happening...It has been a few months so we're hoping we won't have an issue.. Bottom line... Don't buy it!! It doesn't even deserve a one star rating..

I bought the matching set. The drier works well, but the washer creaks and groans every time it spins. It has to be cleaned often and dirt collects in the rubber ring inside the door.

Like the options but the buttons are very sensitive to touch, I don't like having to turn power off everytime I set and start a new cycle, and during the spin cycle it sounds like there's a jet plane in my house!!!I've been using dry laundry soap as recommended by salesman and the rinse cycle doesn't seem to rinse it enough. some dry soap is sometimes found on the window door. Also the spin cycle is so effective that the clothes stick to the top of the drum so. You really have to ensure you grab all your clothes when done.

My previous washer was 16 years old when the spinning mechanism failed, however I thought it was a pretty good washer. Well my new Whirlpool leaves NOTHING to be desired. It's efficient, quiet and I love it. Sometimes I think up things to wash just for the fun of using it. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to update theirs.

So far I have been very happy with the wash machine. We have only had it for a little over a month and it is doing its job cleaning everything well at this point. I've had both washer and dryer now for about a month and we are a family of eight. They are great and we love the features. This is the first time we ever stack a washer and dryer. My only change would be an option when you stack them that both doors open in the same direction. It is awkward when changing loads, but manageable. Whirlpool needs to fix this. Otherwise we Love them so far.

Yeah I got this because our older duet model had started making a winding noise. The newer model is way better and allot less noise. The larger duet model is great because its front load that stacks with enough capacity for the whole family.

I bought this washer in August, 2016.It has features that were optional or available on higher cost models in the past. Ex Sanitising Cycle.One thing that bothers me is that the machine is VERY NOISY when filling. Loud clicking and buzzing/humming is bothersome. I would not reccommend this machine be located close to a family or quiet room.

Bought this washer after reading some really good reviews about it's performance. I think this has great flexibility to clean and steam. The 'quick wash' is a great feature and cleans as well if not better than the longer normal cycle.Follow the instructions with 'Turbo' HE detergent and you won't be disappointed with soap left in your clothes.Just a note... it can be loud on it's spin cycle and the keyboard can be a little overly sensitive but definitely not a deal breaker! Lock the controls and problem solved. Bought as a pair with no regrets!
