Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Machine has started breaking - front door won't open - we have had the washer 4 years now and have been having problems the last couple of months - repair person came and they say we need a new control panel - $325 + $150 labor on top of the $90 we paid to have him diagnose it - will look for a different washer to buy

Mold...Mold..Mold.. and seal around door leaks

Upsetrita 10/27/2019

Purchase my 1st washer an dryer set. I orginal had a Front Loder which I was very please with. So here we go purchased 2.00.2016, when it arrived off the truck it had a dent, Np called Cs and a replacement cover was sent out.(Cool), couple months later bam it started leaking around the seal.. again called Cs tech comes out and does something (didnt fix it) Called Cs again this time please send me out a tech from a different company. Somehow the other guys. Didnt put the seal which was too big for my washer or the door back on properly. (Cool) next I have yet another tech come out because the washer is snowmaking a noise (it's on my youtube) and if course burning my clothes. Yep towles, tshirts socks.etc. does some fixing, finds out the hot water heater gadget wasnt work properly (blank stare) couple more calls to Cs. Couple more techs come out . Now as of 10.20.19 I go to wash an low an behold I have MOLD ALL THROUGHOUT MY DISPENSER. CALL CS TECH COMES OUT AND TELLS ME ITS NORMAL.. FOR WHO MA'AM. NO MA'AM I CAN NOT ACCEPT THIS. But it gets better ..then I'm told that they will put it down as a seal problem. (Mind blowing) so I will not be charged the $98 dollar fee . No tell me what's really going on? I have a extend warranty sir. I called Cs to see what are my options, Basically deal with it. Is how this company is making me feel. problem after problem. I LOVED WHIRLPOOL UP UNTIL NOW.

Disappointed

Alayner78 9/10/2019

We bought our Duet washer and dryer several years ago and I have LOVED it!! We spent almost $3000.00 on the set. Recently we have been getting an error message so they've replaced the pump but now it's SO loud!!! They are saying the bearings might be going out and not worth fixing!!!! What??? I expect this machine to last more than 7 years for $3000.00!!!!!

Quality Problems and Poor Customer Service

BillBW 6/29/2019

This unit was included in the purchase of our new home and we used it for ~ 2.5 years, over the last 8 months it repeatably would have an error code for draining problems. Three service visits by Whirlpool affiliates and ~$500 in repair parts and labor and we still have the same problem. The service group is now recommending two new parts and have stated they aren't sure they are going to fix it and Whirlpool won't (Repeated escalated calls) cover the part costs. Should I invest another $300 + in hoping it will fix the problem totaling $800 on a washer that still won't operate? Not when I can get an LG or Samsung for less than that and they have much better service rates than Whirlpool, especially as I have learned from insiders. Way to go Whirlpool, you have lost a customer for life..

Black Mold

Terrible problem with black mold, as described by other buyers. Customer service told me this machine requires monthly cleaning with chlorine bleach to prevent mold build up.I wish I knew about it. I would have bought another washer.

Black mold! And error code E03 F01

Momof3oc 5/12/2019

We bought this washer in 2015 and keep having issues with error codes. After reading other reviews about black mold we checked ours and it's covered in black mold!! This is a major health hazard and not acceptable. We had a Maytag front loader washer before with no issues. This washer is horrible. Just now we couldn't get the door to unlock so my husband pulled the machine out, took the back cover off and the door became unlocked. Go figure.

Mold Issues

Drux44 4/29/2019

Washing machine had some cool features that we liked so we purchased it. We have been fighting black mold in the detergent reservoir compartment shortly after our purchase to the present. This has to be a design flaw. Would not recommend this machine until the mold issue is resolved. I would rather be dropping pods in the washer then having the Load & Go feature and fighting black mold.

How does this work?

Less than five years old and doesn't work

MJG98 4/3/2019

We bought this washer (minus a few features) in 2014. We have had mold all through the detergent dispenser, we keep getting sensor error messages, my husband did the daunting task of cleaning the front drain (why on earth is it designed so that you have to take the whole front of the washer apart to access the drain?!?!), and then it does one or two loads max and then gives the error messages again and stops working. I loved the ease of use but I am very disappointed that I am buying a new washer in less than five years.

Mold in the detergent dispenser

Frustrated in WA 2/20/2019

I am totally frustrated. We bought our machine 1-1/2 years ago. Since about 3 months in, we have noticed mold. I called the company we bought it from who put us in contact with Whirlpool. Whirlpool said that since it isn't a design flaw I have no recourse. No design flaw? I just found that there was a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool and Sears for just this reason. This has been going on since early 2000s that they have known about this. There must be some kind of design flaw if they paid out millions in the class action lawsuit for just this reason! I am so angry.

Bad Design - Hard to get to filter - Always stinks

BadWasher 2/20/2019

We have owned our Whirlpool Duet Steam Front Load Washer for several years. It has constantly needed to have the drain filter cleaned. The problem with this is that the design of the machine requires the removal of the top, control panel, the front panel, disconnecting the wiring harnesses, disconnecting the inlet water connection inside the washer, removing the door seal (very difficult to replace), and finally removing the bottom front cover to access the drain filter. It is really unforgivable that the design would not allow us to merely remove the bottom front cover to access the drain filter. It is as if Whirlpool intentionally does not want the owner to be able to clean their own drain filter without calling a repairman. We have also had continuous problems with the washer smelling bad. Of course we go to the trouble of keeping the drain filter clean and making sure there are no obstructions to proper draining but the washer still stinks all the time. We leave the washer front door open to allow air flow and drying when not in use and this helps the stink problem somewhat. The problem with leaving the door open when not in use is that the light inside the door of the washer stays on. Overall, we are unhappy with the poor design of this washer. I would recommend purchasing a different brand of washer with better design features.

Also Mold in soap dispenser..

OI1998 2/8/2019

We were noticing black mold on the load and go dispenser within the first year since we bought Whirlpool washer, so we started to clean and leave the dispenser out of the washer to allow it to dry. Have been fighting this with bleach, vinegar, Whirlpool's cleaners, you name it - for years, still keeps coming back. Looking through these reviews it seems mold is a very common problem with Whirlpool Washers.. It cannot be normal. Yikes

The worst washer ever!

dreajane 11/10/2018

I just replaced my old Duet set from 2003 that were fabulous...the new washer is horrible. The load and go does not dispense soap and will not stay shut. I tried taping it shut but still no soap dispensed. I've done 20 loads and there is no soap missing. If you put soap in manually and have to add a garment it runs out all over the floor. I should have listened to the appliance people who said not to buy this machine. I bought this machine only because it fit under my countertop where my old duets fit perfectly. The dryer constantly turns off before clothes are dry no matter what settings you are using. The washing machine locks up sometimes and I have to reset breakers. It makes really weird noises as well. I have begged my husband to get rid of them.

Love it. Never had mold...here's the fix.

Litalou 10/25/2018

I've had this washer for 3+ years and I absolutely love it. It spins the clothes super dry. I sometimes have to check to make sure they've been washed. I also love the refresh feature. I've left clothes in there for a day and had no problems. A washer repairman told me that mold comes from using liquid detergent, which has an oil base to it to keep it fluid. It's also what causes the drum to spell, since it collects on the back side. When we bought this washer, we have since only used powder detergent (no liquids, no pods). We've never had any mold show up in the dispenser, and the drum never ever smells.

Black mold in detergent dispenser

Epic 9/22/2018

I had the unit since 2015 and I was happy with it until I found black mold. Btw we keep the door always opened. This is in the detergent dispenser. I washed it few times over the past 6 months but could not understand why it was black again.... (Mindless washing, just took out the dispenser to rinse it). This time I lowered my head to see under - was covered black, again I washed it and started reading online and I am shocked that this is mold. I have pictures after tried to clean it, but even hard to do so.

Dontmesswiththismama 9/12/2018

I purchased this washer and dryer just over a year ago. The moment we got it we had mold issues. Whirlpool says "this is unheard of" had the part replaced multiple times. Now that were out of our warranty window my options are to 1. Pay for labor and parts, 2. Purchase a new machine at a discount. What a joke. This product is defective and I see a class action lawsuit coming for them in the near feature.

MOLD!!

HASP 9/4/2018

We have constant mold in the dispenser despite taking the dispenser out between washes to allow to dry out. This can't be right or healthy & I'm assuming not good for our machine. I think this machine should be recalled. Sooo disappointing to spend money on a product & have this kind of thing happen. It works well but obviously, this mold thing is a major problem & concern.

So much potential, yet unfortunately falls short

noles1992 9/4/2018

Whirlpool as far as I know is the gold standard of appliances and has been for a long time, so I was happy to make the purchase. The features this machine has was perfect for my large family, the location in my house and the various upgraded features. Unfortunately, the go load system just doesn't work properly. So you wash a load and later learn, no detergent or softener actually hit the load. Essentially you are just washing load after load with water. disappointed in the product. Do I invest in a new machine or try and repair this one that isn't old? if I get a new machine, do I need to buy another brand?

Mold and Load and Go Dispenser Doesn't Work

WHMc 8/15/2018

It appears I have the same issues as other people here. I have mold on the rubber inside the door as well as the load and go dispenser. The detergent portion of the Load and Go no longer dispenses. I cleaned it all out and still have an issue. Have had the washer for maybe two years now. Design flaws probably. Love the Load and Go when it worked. Now just add directly to the drum.

Mold build-up, decent washer and features

RicardoFG 8/15/2018

The Front Loader works well, I have nothing negative to say about the features and functionality. Its the build-up of mold and having to replace hoses due to build up, makes it for an unpleasant experience and very smelly. I recommend the product IF the mold build up can be corrected. Again, it functions great, its the mold and stink that it gives off.

Drum broke in less than 3 years

Zotikos 7/6/2018

Bought ours in 01/2016. Had been working fine when started hearing a squeaky sound. Part of rubber boot had started coming off. When I pulled it back, found a crack in the plastic surrounding the drum. Would have cost more to fix than to get a new washer. Hope for other's sake that ours was an exception. It definitely only earned one star.

Wouldn't recommend

barbara23 6/18/2018

Purchased washer in 2015. Has had black stains on inside rubber parts for quite a while. Had pump sensor replaced because of error code after about 2 years. Whirlpool paid for the sensor but I paid $162.29 for the service call with Guinco. Keep unplugging, resetting and it works fine for a while but then won't drain, beeps, has to be unplugged, reset several times. Called Whirlpool again today. They set up a repair appointment for me $105 service charge plus parts. Looks like I'm going to have to get a new pump and/or control panel for a 2 1/2 year old washing machine. When it works, it cleans great.

MOLD!

KC Short 6/17/2018

We wish we read the reviews before purchasing. We read good consumer reports on a different Whirlpool model but that wasn't available at the time we needed a washer. The washer functions the way it should for the most part. The main issue is the mold in the dispenser tray and cartridge. After using it a few weeks, I opened the dispenser tray to refill the detergent and noticed mold everywhere! The dispenser tray comes out and you can clean that reletively easily with a toothbrush, but the bay is so difficult to clean. Our detergent dispenser also stopped dispensing after we've been using the washer about 6 months. When we press into the detergent dispenser nozzle, detergent would come out, so it doesn't seem to be clogged. The peg inside the bay that would press into the detergent dispenser nozzle is intact, but the dispenser is still not dispensing detergent. Water is in the dispenser after we use the washer, fabric softener and bleach is gone after a wash, so those are working. We've always used HE laundry detergent. Because of the mold and the detergent casket not working, we don't use the dispenser tray at all. We put the detergent straight in the main compartment with the clothes.

Great features, mold in dispenser!

CaliTony 6/1/2018

I have had my washer a year. I just pulled out the dispenser and there is black mold everywhere inside the drawer, similar to what others have posted. This is a serious design flaw in a cleaning appliance. I have been opening the dispenser to let it dry and I use Affresh every month but still I get this. While the load and Go system is my favorite feature, this is a fatal flaw with it that would make me buy another brand once the machine breaks. Ill try bleach and a toothbrush in the meantime.

MOLD in load and go

pr2468 4/27/2018

Only lasted two years

jorgclan 3/19/2018

We bought this two years ago from Lowes when we moved into our old house. We had Whirlpool Duets at our previous house for about 4 years with no problem. But this machine for the past several months has been leaking and just a few days ago--after a loud bang--the whole tub spun out of control and is now hanging lifelessly. A month ago we had draining issues--filter needed to be cleaned I guess, but it is inaccessible unless you take the whole back panel off and crawl underneath. A washing machine should last more than two years. The leak between the tubs will cost more to fix than to buy a new machine. Frustrated!

Poor spin cycle

SHE1 2/9/2018

I bought nearly 2 years ago & have had service return multiple times as loads do not spin out & remain extremely wet. Was told I couldn't wash just 1 rug as had to wash at least 2 to balance load. So do I wash things that aren't dirty just to balance a load? A full set of sheets, when washed on normal cycle, do not spin dry. Need to use a heavier load, which takes 1 hr 20+ minutes. Again, need to make sure all items are of same weight in order for spin cycle to work....so can't throw a hand towel in with the sheets as towel is too heavy. Overall, I was told I need to rethink my 40+ years of washing experience to accomodate this wash machine.

Wash & Go Dispesner Grows Mold

9/3/2017

I was very excited about my washing machine when I first bought it 3 months ago. Unfortunately, over the past month I have notice a lot of black mold growth that I cannot get to go away no matter how many times I clean this. This cannot be good for my health or my clothes.

Dispenser Drawer Mold

9/3/2017

Mold everywhere - in dispenser drawer, inside rubber on the inside of machine. Appears I'm not the only one experiencing this issue!

Dispenser Drawer Mold

8/6/2017

The detergent dispenser drawer accumulates black mold. It makes me question if the clothes are clean. Very disappointing. Had mine for a little over a year.

MOLD

7/14/2017

I purchased this this when we built but ours house and have had it rebuilt - new dispenser and new gasket within a year. I actually remove the entire dispenser area since, wipe dry inside the dispenser and gasket and leave everything to air out after each load and still a huge amount of mold both in gasket and dispenser area.

MOLD MOLD MOLD

5/17/2017

We are having major mold issues in the dispenser area. I pulled the dispenser out and there is mold all in the area. It also appears to have some rust. I am very disappointed because otherwise liked the washer.

Mold! Do not buy!

3/11/2017

There appears to be a design flaw in this washer wish causes an extreme amount of mold to accumulate in the detergent dispenser drawer. We leave the drawer open after each wash to let it dry out, but this does not seem to help. We have never had this problem with any other front load washer. As a result, I would not recommend that you purchase this washer.

Lots of Mold

9/29/2016

I have only had this washer for a few months and I keep noticing mold where the detergent goes, I would just clean it. I took the entire compartment out and there is mold everywhere. I am so disappointed because I was really loving this washing machine and dryer.

Great for large amounts of laundry

9/7/2016

I received this washer in May for a great price through customer service. Customer Service was ver accommodating and helpful. This washer is great at getting our clothes clean and can hold a large load. We have already had to get the belt replaced once. The technician said it slipped and wore in a place because of the slippage. I also have to clean the detergent tray with bleach occasionally, even though I leave it open, due to mold. Overall, it's a good washer.

Like a whisper

8/16/2016

This is by the far the quietest washing machine that I have ever owned. I love how it runs and my clothes are amazingly clean. At first I didn't think that I needed the Load & Go system but now I am so happy that I don't have to think about detergent. It doesn't seem like a big deal but what a simple pleasure.

Excelleent Performance

We bought the washer and dryer combo 5 months ago. Washer performs flawlessly. However a little noisy when cycle starts (fill). So far so good.

I love my new washer

8/2/2016

I love how dry the clothes are when they come out of the washer, except on the delicate cycle the clothes have too much moisture left in them after the final spin.

Love it!

My sister-in-law has always had the Load & Go Duet, so I chose it based on her review. I have not been disappointed! I'm so glad I left my LG with the home I sold...
