I read lots of reviews before we bought this freezer. I should have stayed away from this model. Like many others experiences, this freezer died after just over 1 year. On Christmas Eve of 2016, we had to clean out our freezer and throw away much food! Not very happy with this. No wonder the warranty is only for 1 year.

Been using now for approximately 1.5 months with no issues. Cooled down very quickly initially and used the quick freeze when 50lbs of chicken breasts were added and they were solid after a couple of hours.

Perfect size, looks nice... Never had a light in my freezer before so love this feature. Love having temperature alarm and door ajar alarm... Price was good I definitely got a deal with this freezer.

I bought this freezer almost 2 months ago and no problems have occurred to date. It is very quiet when running. Only complaint is the exterior is very hard to keep clean. Fingerprints show easily. Much better than the Kenmore Elite the unit replaced!

Nice Upright freezer with plenty of shelves for storage and lit up for useful detection of frozen foods and plenty of shelves and in the door cabinet space. No problems with freezer freezing approximate and nice stainless steel finish and perfect dimensions for my kitchen.

This upright freezer is really nice. The Fast freeze is a great added feature. It also has a temperature alarm and you can add an ice maker to this model which is one of the main reasons we bought it.

We added the optional ice maker and are very pleased with both. I would have liked an additional light lower in the freezer.Sometimes it is hard to see things in the lower baskets. I would buy the same freezer again.

After 2 weeks of running without a problem I woke up one morning to a 50 degree freezer. Everything inside had defrosted. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it started working again. Then after about 4 days the same thing happened. Getting warranty work done now to replace the part (with presumably the same part). It will have little confidence knowing this could happen anytime.

Purchased this Freezer because of its features and size. It is only 30" wide so it fits perfectly in my location. Other brands were too wide at 34". It is 18 cu ft, frost free and has a low temp alarm.It freezes fast and is very quiet.Only thing I think should be changed is the location of the low temp alarm. It rings inside the unit. So, it is difficult to hear. I think the alarm and associated light should be located on the exterior door or bottom front of the freezer. It would be easier to see/hear etc.

We purchased this freezer in September and we just love it. It replaces a small Whirlpool(11.5 cubic) that we purchased in the late 80's. This new freezer has so much room, it has a place for everything. Lots of storage inside, I don't know how we did it with a smaller one. Love this freezer. I think Whirlpool is the best

I bought this a few months ago as a replacement to my broken freezer. This one has much more space and the storage on the door is great! The only negative is that the door lock feature is VERY difficult to engage, thus I never lock the door. Not that this is a huge deal, but it was the only thing I could find that I didn't like

I bought this freezer in April and within the week it defrosted all my new food. The alarm had such a faint buzz that I thought I had a electrical problem with some wiring not a freezer problem. I had been standing in the garage at least 10 minutes waiting for my husband before I even noticed the buzzing. I don't call this an alarm and the repair man can not make any adjustments to it. My freezer was then repaired with a new part because of it defrosting everything. The door to the freezer was damaged when it came in so they had to order a new door. The next door came in with the gasket torn, so another door was order and the lock wouldn't work on the second door. Another door was ordered and this time the service man but all kind of washers on top and bottom of the freezer door. I was so upset because every time they take the door off and on this is stretching the holes larger on the freezer box. The repair man told me the lock worked this time and I took his word for it. Well, I found out the lock still doesn't work, so they are ordering the fourth door. I ask whirlpool just replace the freezer and they refuse. Each door cost 820.00 and I had 4000.00 worth of doors on this freezer and the alarm still doesn't work. It doesn't make sense that they would just send a new freezer, but they will go to all cost to repair this junk. I am tired of staying home to wait for a repair man. I will never buy whirlpool anything again. Yes, the freezer looks beautiful and the shelving is nice, but that is the only thing good about this product.

My husband recently remodeled our laundry room. That is where we had our Whirlpool freezer. After the room was completed, my husband surprised me with a brand new stainless Whirlpool freezer! The freezer has so many compartments and shelves. Since I am an organizer, it makes my job easier. I love the sleek design of the freezer and the LED interior lighting. We gave our daughter our old freezer and she is so happy with it!

We've only had our Whirlpool Freezer for 2 months, but I'm in love with it. It was such a great decision for us to purchase this one. After looking and looking for a freezer that was smaller than our 21cf freezer that had problems, we finally found this one. Our space is small and finding a freezer that was less than 34 inches wide seemed to be impossible. We were seeing all the new freezer increasing from 32 to 34 inches regardless of their cf. None of these would work for us, then wa-la, we found this 18 cf that is 30" wide.....yay. It also comes in stainless which perfectly matched our washer and dryer that sits next it. Love it. Love the size, love the storage and love the led lite. Great purchase.

The product is a lemon and I hope the Whirlpool service techs will do a better job in the future, that is if I buy another Whirlpool product.

It was economical and practical. We bought it and the matching refrigerator together. Some minor flaws that I would change though. First, the handle on one or both of the appliances needs to be reversible. We are placing ours outside on the patio in a side-by-side manner and would like to swing the doors opposite of each other. Second, they do not have the same height dimensions. One is about a half inch taller than the other. Not sure why. You don't notice it unless you're really paying attention though. And last, the LED lighting is great but I have always wanted some rear-facing lighting because when it fills up, the light can get blocked. Aside from my minor pet peeves, it is a 5 star selection.

I was looking at a different brand if freezer but when the salesman said it was no longer available, my heart sank. Well, he showed me the Whirlpool and not only was it the size I was looking for and stainless steel, it was designed to hold food that you actually purchase like pizza! I bought upright frezer because I have back problem. I did not want to bend to search foods. And most I love about this Frezer is color! Most of frezers are white color which looks little cheap to me. we are size of 4 family and it's planty room to store the foods.Very easy to organize and find the foods you need right away.

OMG!! This is a very, very, nice freezer and I didn't know how nice until it was delivered and set up. I recommend this to anyone. There's lots of room inside to freeze anything you want.
